THE WHITE LOTUS gave viewers a sex-filled romp of an episode. Intercourse (whether you were getting it, not entwined, or were promised a future encounter) was a form of currency and power for the entire ensemble.
So many entanglements unraveled while partaking in the breakfast buffet. A condom made a public entrance, and all bets were off as to what will happen in the future. There was “thigh” and “MADAM BUTTERFLY” foreshadowing. The saying, “I am concussed. I can’t be responsible for what I am saying,” is not enough of an excuse anymore. “Sicily can be very seductive,” and $2000 was the going rate for some.
THE WHITE LOTUS showed that molly and physical connections can alter the course of intimate transactions. What goes on behind closed doors should stay behind closed doors or suffer the consequences in the next episode. Oh, I do love moments of wild, “dangerous” events and explosions yet to come.
