THE PENGUIN shuffled backward to another filler episode. Yes, it was necessary and important to the story’s progress, but it wasn’t as exciting as last week, except for one ferocious Sophia moment. This woman has Chutzpah with a capital C.Â
I still marvel at Colin Farrell’s amazing acting skills, AKA Oz, THE PENGUIN. His intentions are so precise. He draws from emotions deep within and can make viewers battle between love and hate for his character. Farrell keeps audiences balanced on a precarious tightrope, never knowing when he will let go of the safety net. Bravo to his fine, brilliant performance.Â
Sophia, played by Christin Miloti, is spectacular as well. Her journey to power is fascinating and fraught with death and destruction. She portrays a true, sinister sociopath. It is great fun watching her in action.Â
THE PENGUIN is a gritty, dark crime drama that will pull viewers into the seedy, violent Gotham world. It is an entertaining, fantasy, comic book viewing. Let’s all rendezvous in Crown Point.
