THE NIGHT AGENT ended too soon. I wanted more of the FBI/White House spy thriller. It was exciting, improbable, and highly entertaining.
Each of the ten episodes contained chase and fight scenes. There was always someone shooting. Stabbing, kicking, strangling, or just plain alley fighting. Important characters didn’t survive. I love this the most because you didn’t know what would happen next. It kept viewers on their toes for sure. The opening scene set the tone. It was super intense. I had no idea where the writers were taking us.
I must let viewers know there are some small “holes” in the storyline. It is not a perfect path to the finale, and suspending belief is sometimes necessary. These moments did not bother me. And the President’s Chief of Staff was very “monotonish” in her delivery. I just got used to her calm, emotionless delivery. The final moments hit the spot. It is now totally set up for season two.
THE NIGHT AGENT was a fun, enthusiastic action show. I would be thrilled if ever I needed help or I was in danger in the middle of the night, Peter (Gabriel Basso) would answer my call.
It is available on NETFLIX.
