THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME S2E1-E2 🤮

Revisiting THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME felt like I was eating Melba toast. It was the perfect bland opening of the first two episodes of a very unnecessary second season. I thought this series was put out of its misery before. I guess the studio execs weren’t done getting their money’s worth, but I don’t think the viewers got a good deal. The story has tons of holes and demands far too many moments of shedding disbelief. I don’t believe the payoff is worth it.

Jennifer Garner is the star power behind this series, but her role as Hannah appears stiff and emotionless. Yes, Garner is in great physical shape, and she has a moment of showing off how good a fighter she is, but it just isn’t enough. It seemed like she kept asking the same questions over and over. Thrillers need to be thrilling. Alas, this was not then, nor is it now.

The best advice I can give audiences about THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME was probably these words…don’t watch. I am taking “his” imagined words to heart.

It is streaming on Apple TV.
