THE AFTERPARTY S2E4 HANNAH 😊

THE AFTERPARTY took on another murder mystery genre by showcasing the vibrant, colorful narrative style of the infamous, eccentric Wes Anderson. It was told from HANNAH’s point of view this week, and her writer’s voice was heard loud and clear. The accompanying music infused emotional highs and lows. Much was revealed and explained through the third-person dialogue, bright lighting, and creative sets.Ā  Ā

The funniest moments had nothing to do with Hannah. Ken Jeong is a brilliant, hilarious Korean translator. Just don’t expect to make any extra money for an important deal. I do want to know who the murderer is, but I find myself wanting to move even faster to get to the finale. This is not a good sign. The show is okay. I just wish they would mix up the format so what we see is not expected. In season one, it was a fresh and fun way to solve the mystery behind the murder. Now it is ā€œbeen there, done it.ā€ Ā

I will continue watching THE AFTER PARTY. I am hopeful the writers will add something really profound in the near future. The cast could be evenĀ zanier. It’s summer. I am craving the absurd. Andā€¦ā€œscene.ā€ Ā

THE AFTERPARTY is available to stream on Apple TV+. Ā  Ā
