THE ACOLYTE S1E8 🤮

I hate-watched the entire first season of THE ACOLYTE only because it was part of the STAR WARS universe. In hindsight, it’s another lesson learned: if something is bad, it’s bad. It doesn’t matter what universe it takes place in, nor how much I love the source material; I don’t need to be a completionist with lousy content.

There are only three reasons to watch any part of THE ACOYLTE’s first season.

  1. The action – Despite having some of the worst storytelling in any STAR WARS TV series, the lightsaber battles are fantastic. Although, you won’t care much about who wins them.
  2. Manny Jacinto – Jacinto is the only actor who will walk away from this pile of trash show with kudos. He proves that he’s more than capable of carrying a series post THE GOOD PLACE.
  3. You don’t value your time. I said there are three reasons because I love the rule three, but sadly, there are only two.

THE ACOLYTE is the first STAR WARS series (outside of OBI-WAN) that doesn’t justify an existence. It should not be renewed for a second season, and instead, audiences can revisit ANDOR or MANDO to wash away the stench from spending time with these uninspired Jedis. Or a ā€œmemory wipeā€ might do the trick. šŸ˜”

The entire first season is available to skip on Disney+.
