Favorite Ted quote this week: āI love meeting peopleās moms. Itās like reading an instruction manual as to why theyāre nuts.ā
After two of the best-themed TV episodes ever created, TED LASSO quickly returns to moving the plot forward. Gone are the ārom-communismā and Christmas references as we get back onto the field to watch the most soccer this series has shown yet.
While Iāve loved season two of LASSO, Iāve questioned what story the series wants to tell. Every single character is likable, making it difficult to have a clear villain. After this weekās cliffhanger, I believe audiences will now know where itās headed, but since this is a SpoilerFreeReview š¤.
I continue to enjoy TED LASSO weekly and get kicked in the feels watching this hit series, but I keep questioning ā why? It doesnāt necessarily do anything that audiences havenāt seen before. Instead, Iāve realized two things:
We all should be more like Ted. No, we donāt have to have terrific puns and obscure references, but that overall instinct to do good and inspire others (even your enemy) is a universal theme we can all learn.
We get by with a little help from our friends. From Rebeccaās mom visiting drama (anyone else catch that her mom took the tea that had more in it š¤), Diamond Dogs dismounting, Higgins hugging Beard (āYouāre a great man, does Jane make you greater?), and more ā this show is about friendship. In a world thatās even more divided than ever (thank you politics and COVID), thereās one thing we all can agree on ā the power of friendship is forever.
The latest episode is available to brighten your day on Apple TV+.
