SUGAR is such a conundrum of visual, heart-palpating moments and quiet soul-searching questions about “ what is missing?” Having PTSD does not help John Sugar solve this disturbing case.
Colin Farrell is mesmerizing as Private Investigator Sugar. He has such a sad sack look about him that draws people towards him whether he wants them close or not. The story still has miles to go with all the twists and turns it keeps presenting to viewers. I am not sure how I feel about I just want to know the truth about everyone.
SUGAR has a fascinating, complicated plot line that involves specific “career”-minded people. I hope that the show picks up and delivers more action like the opening scene. This will help me to keep coming back. It is streaming on Apple TV+.
