STUART FAILS TO SAVE THE UNIVERSE is a fun, silly series that features the actors from THE BIG BANG THEORY television show and then some. It is a huge treat for fans to watch old familiar characters in an alternate universe. I am assuming, from the first five episodes, that the journey will be long and take audiences far away from normal life experiences.
SFTSTU showcases stupid humor alongside quantum theories. It made me laugh out loud at the absurdity of what I was watching on my screen, yet I thoroughly enjoyed every second. It represents adventurous escapism with every twist and turn. Nothing is meant to be taken seriously, including the opening credits that are different every episode. The surprising guest appearances made me shout out, “Hey, it’s what’s his name from…Oh damn. I can’t remember.” What a hoot to bring so many “recognizable” people together each episode. It is all delightful fun and not meant to be taken seriously for even a minute.
STUART FAILS TO SAVE THE UNIVERSE has five more chapters yet to air and devour. This series is the brainchild of three known and proven writers and producers: Chuck Lorre (THE BIG BANG THEORY, TWO AND A HALF MEN), Zac Penn (READY PLAYER ONE, THE AVENGERS), and Bill Pratt (THE BIG BANG THEORY, YOUNG SHELDON). They obviously know what they are doing and where they are taking us, so I am just going to enjoy every moment of this ridiculous ride while it is streaming on HBO MAX.
