Despite only being a six-episode season, SOUTH PARK (for the most part) was consistently relevant and funny. Moving away from the Tegridy Farms plot allowed Trey Parker and Matt Stone to explore new themes, including, Male toxicity, ChatGPT, Japanese Toilets, and so much more.
The season finale brings back everyone’s favorite version of Garrison, aka when he “rallies” to imitate Donald Trump. This expertly sets the show up to spoof the inevitable 2024 run.
Yet, what makes SPRING BREAK work so well, is it’s funny! The idea of “rallying” as a drug is comedy gold. Meanwhile, back at the “ranch,” Randy’s failure to teach the boys about male toxicity is hilarious. The woke culture vs. liberal message, I’m sure, will get explored further in season 27.
So, to answer the question if I want to “rally a little bit” and watch another season of SOUTH PARK – the answer is hell yes. Please keep the offensive comedy coming – I’ll try to find it wherever it’s airing.
SOUTH PARK S26 is available on HBO Max, Comedy Central, and Paramount+… I think.
