SOUTH PARK finally returns to feature all the boys in this week’s simpler episode. There are no ripped from the headlines spoofs, nor any political point that Trey Parker and Matt Stone are trying to make. It’s just SOUTH PARK being funny.
The plot revolves around all the boys taking up a new paintball hobby with fake guns from Airsoft. Each kid is partnered with a teenager, and that’s where the one-note comedy repeatedly hits against how awful teens are (cue lotion and hair gel bits, 😂 ).
This self-contained episode was a welcome return. Despite not having anything to say about the current state of the world, the show still got one sentimental zinger in. It was courtesy of the boys’ dads, reflecting on their kids eventually becoming teens – “We still have a few good years before they turn into monsters.”
The latest episode is available on Comedy Central, HBO Max, and Paramount+.
