SLOW HORSES has still got it.  It is current, fresh, snarky, and brings together all the irritating characters fans love to hate but can’t. It was fast-paced, with an opening sequence that Americans don’t want to be reminded about, as similar moments are sadly shown on the nightly news.Â
The writers gave viewers even more delicious tidbits of backstory without the tedious, usual “talk, talk, talk dialogue.” The number 762 took on more meaning without a huge drumroll. I will remember this detail. The “unseen” are emblazoned on my brain. Dating in today’s society has never looked so dangerous and deadly.Â
SLOW HORSES is just warming up. Please don’t make me eat breakfast again with the repulsive, creatively talented Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman). It was as realistic as seeing the slogan “Make Britain British again.” Yikes. Don’t miss this award-winning series’ fifth season.
It’s TV at its finest, streaming on Apple TV+.Â
