SHRINKING peeled another layer of vulnerability from key characters. The writers exposed moments the audience has not been privy to, allowing them to discover and explore within the SHRINKING ensemble. It brought tears to my eyes and reinforced how very precious our relationships are during the seconds each of us is allotted on earth. DEREKS DON’T DIE made me hit the pause button. How extraordinary it is that this quirky group of colleagues, family, and friends has each other’s backs.Â
SHRINKING is a powerful series. It delivers simple life lessons with subtlety, strength, and humor. It shines light on what makes a good parent or friend. It gives everyone a pat on the shoulder for doing the best they can with what they know to be true right now.Â
Brilliant writing, acting, and directing give SHRINKING a home run most every week. This is special and doesn’t happen that often in television. How lucky viewers are to be on the receiving end.Â
