SEVERANCE delivered one of the best all-time finales. It was well-acted, excellently written, and contained finely tuned editing. It felt like 1984 all over again.
My heart is still racing from running the long, Lumon Industries maze. My brain is blown away from all the twists and turns I never expected. It was simply brilliant. Ben Stiller, (director) I am so impressed. Standing ovation to all who conceived and executed this original, Sci-fi thriller, corporate power, mystery series.
I am asking myself which “me” I want to be in life…”innie or outie.” How do we all become “THE YOU YOU ARE?” Is it necessary to maintain an “overtime contingency?” These are questions that will keep me up at night for days to come.
The ensemble of SEVERANCE is stellar. Mark, (Adam Scott) Helly, (Britt Lower) Irving, (John Turturro) Dylan, (Zach Cherry) and Harmony (Patricia Arquette) are masters at their craft. They are able to express more emotion with just a raised eyebrow or a glare of disdain and confusion. Their energy and group chemistry fuels this series and keeps pulling us back to their sad, messy lives.
SEVERANCE offers some of the best television viewing in a long time. It is a hook that once it settles in your gut, won’t let up or let go. It is a slow-burn of compelling intrigue that left us screaming for more answers. I can’t wait for season two. I am putty in your hands.
SEVERANCE is available to stream on APPLE tv+.
