RAIN DOGS continues to show the raw, harsh life Daisy May Cooper (Costello Jones) and Gloria (Ronke Adekoluejo) try to navigate. They are solid friends and always hold a truth-filled mirror up to each other. Nothing is held back, especially when it comes to the well-being of Daisy’s daughter.

This episode highlighted a bit of Selby’s (Jack Farthing) back story. He is the only one of the trio that comes from money, yet is continually messing up everything in his life. He just can’t get it together. The “four whores of the apocalypse” was invoked. And it begged the question, “Is my mother a whore?” Too many questions. Survival is the name of the game, and these three characters are leading us on a path we might not want to take. They do this with honest, precise, cold, dark performances mixed with humor and sarcasm.

RAIN DOGS is a harsh, realistic look at life on the edge of being on the street. It takes me out of my comfort zone. I like these people. They have my attention. It is available to stream on HBO MAX.
