RAIN DOGS took the time to go down the final path with Costella (Daisy May Cooper.) She believes she has nowhere to go, and the last step is letting go. It is dark, raw, and authentic.

This episode showcased friendship, love of self, and family. Costella’s daughter wants her mom to be normal. This is a tall order when a person is looking into the abyss. The writers of RAIN DOGS get it. They understand how to maneuver audiences through manic moments, whether it is Selby (Jack Farthing) or Gloria (Ronke Adekoluejo.)

RAIN DOGS is not a series for those who are seeking happy endings. I fear that is not possible for too many in our flailing society as well. RAIN DOGS makes me more aware of those suffering. It guides me to pay more attention to those in need, and as a result, I am better for it. Kudos.

It is a hard-core, well-done series and is available to stream on HBO MAX.
