QUEER EYE: MORE THAN A MAKEOVER was set in the New Orleans area. It showcased the same Fab 5 who traveled to lend their helpful hands and shoulders to cry upon. This eighth season seemed like the boys were digging and delving deeper into what was making their “stars” stuck in life.
What draws me to this show season after season is the kindness, attention, and generosity QUEER EYE gives on each episode. They are non-judgmental and always strive to bring out the best in everyone around them. Their taste in house renovations, hair, makeup, clothes, cooking, and philosophy is spot on. They encourage me to be a better person while realizing everyone is dealing with something in life, whether it be grief, physical handicaps, or marital problems. We are not alone. Their genuine hugs and affirmations hit the spot, and often I feel “gorgeous” after watching.
QUEER EYE: MORE THAN A MAKEOVER shares the best of five fabulous men who are traveling their paths by being a mentor to those in need. They do this unapologetically and are totally themselves. Audiences can’t help but smile and love them for who they are. I know I do. It is streaming on Netflix.
