PHYSICAL was a depressing peak at the unraveling of Sheila (Rose Byrne) once again. She is still dealing with the aftereffects of her “nude” modeling moment. Healing might not be an option since several men keep getting in the way.
The writers are continually pushing that inner voice of self-destruction. It is hard to watch and believe what she is saying out loud. Kudos to Rose for pulling off such a double-edged sword. It is a testament to her extraordinary talent as an actress.
Two other ensemble members are changing and getting stronger in their self-confidence. Greta and Danny are being given pearls of emotional dialogues. Their stature is on a different trajectory. Nicely played and intriguing to witness.
PHYSICAL needs to get back to Sheila’s studio for her survival. I am hoping she makes it home in time. It is available to screen on Apple TV+.
