ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING was a little âbit-ishâ disappointing. I was looking forward to âfabulous-ishâ comedy, murder, and mystery entertainment. But all I got was just âgood-ish.â Â
The problem with this weekâs episode was that they split the team up into three different storylines that should hopefully merge in the finale. I missed the banter and camaraderie between Oliver (Martin Short), Charles (Steve Martin), and Mabel (Selena Gomez). This is what tickles our funny bones and pulls us in week after week. I wanted the âSPARRING PARTNERSâ to be together in one room to put all the puzzle pieces correctly.Â
I am totally cool with Oliver dropping by in his pajamas to discuss Greek DNA, Lake Placid, criminal masterminds, and Not OK Oklahoma. The writers should have pulled us into the highest denouement, but it just wasnât meant to be. I feel like the viewers are free falling, and no one wants to die âheartbroken.â
ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING was told from Detective Krepsâ (Michael Rapaport) point of view. I donât want to be left holding the âpunching bag,â so I am hopeful the final chapter wonât be a âcop-out.â Â
It is available to stream on HULU.Â
