ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING continues to be a light-hearted comedy featuring three true-crime occupants obsessed with solving a murder mystery by podcast.
Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selina Gomez deliver with perfection. This episode also features more of Sting and Tina Fey. It is a cast made in heaven. I loved the one-liners that were delivered with lightning speed. I can’t explain, but I can exploit them:
1. Did you know 70 is the new 40’s?
2. You’ll hear me “bassooner” than later!
3. Oh, Roxanne!
And my favorite of all, “Embrace the mess.”
This week is all about deceit and thievery. Everyone’s deep secrets are exposed, and it can only lead to more zany, hilarious moments. The timing of these pros is fabulous. They know exactly when to wait for an extra beat, sigh, raise an eyebrow, purse their lips, or even cook and deliver a 19-pound turkey as a housewarming gift.
ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING does not hold back. It’s the gift that keeps us guessing and keeps on giving. I can’t wait for the next installment on Tuesday. It just makes me smile.
