NEMESISÂ is a fresh, chaotic, slick new cops and robbers series that defies how many times the bad guy can get away. It is a major gun-toting series that sent my head spinning with the amount of ammunition fired off in the middle of Los Angeles. It will be imperative to bring along your biggest bucket of suspending disbelief while watching each action scene. This does not take away from each thrilling moment. I am just warning viewers without offering any spoilers.Â
The antagonist, Coltrane, and the protagonist, Isiah, are constantly chasing each other through the shadowy, gray areas of the rules of law. It fascinated me how many times those lines wavered and changed. In this world of constantly running from the law made it very clear how easily any one of us could change our stripes and walk on the wild side. It was exciting. My only criticism is with the editing. It felt a little long at times. Maybe eight episodes were not necessary, and it still ended with a huge cliffhanger. I think this series will be making a comeback for another round of whizzing bullets and bombs.Â
NEMESIS was pure escapism with a fairly overall simple script. If that’s your thing, you won’t be disappointed. It is streaming on Netflix.Â
