MYTHIC QUEST returns and audiences will be able to tell it’s going through the learnings of classic situational workplace comedies. Season 1 primarily focused on the two leads Ian and Poppy, played hilariously by Rob McElhenney and Charlotte Nicdao. Season 2 starts off spending more time with the supporting characters.
Ian and Poppy are planning an expansion pack for the videogame, Raven’s Banquet. The two cannot agree if it takes place on land or sea, so Ian goes on a 40-something vision quest to Arizona, leaving Poppy in charge. Taking Ian out of the equation allows time to finally answer if Rachel or Dana “like like” each other. Regardless of the results, the show has found the heartbeat of the cast.
But this is MYTHIC QUEST and there are inappropriate jokes to be had. They are not as hilarious as the previous special, but they are good enough to set the groundwork for audiences to actually start watching Apple TV+.
