LOOT lost its way this week. It was challenging to get through. I believe Molly (Maya Rudolph) is better than how she was portrayed. I really don’t enjoy the idea of stepping back into the past with inane characters. Yes, it reiterates how far Molly has come. Yes, it shows that she is human and flawed, but I really thought the writers had moved on to better, more powerful messaging. I guess it’s the old two steps forward, one step back routine being showcased.Â
LOOT introduced a possible love connection and an enemy. Once audiences learn that it is not worth it, given all the cringeworthy moments. I was disappointed and hate wasting my time. I hope this is only a bump in the road of what’s to come. If not, then I will be shouting BUONA SERA and waving goodbye too.
It is streaming on Apple TV.Â
