LADY IN THE LAKE was one big hallucinatory dream fest. It was truly an out-of-body experience for not only Maddie (Natalie Portman) but also the viewers. Â
I think it would take a lot of time to figure out the underlying meaning of Maddie’s comatose journey. It was strange and bizarre, and not in a good way. The series is all about solving a murder. This seems to be the driving force behind every monologue and dialogue and showcases the racial discourse within the Baltimore community in the early 1960s. There is only one more episode left, so I am hoping for some kind of twisty, quirky outcome.Â
LADY IN THE LAKE is a problem for me. It has not been easy to watch TV. I can honestly say I am so ready for the big reveal.
