I wanted to love the new JURASSIC PARK film, but instead, I left the theater feeling waterlogged. At this point, it feels like the entire JURASSIC series is a joke to make money while audiences continue to show up and get āJurasskickedā looking for a fun time.
REBIRTH learned from all the ādino-donātsā in the last film, DOMINION, and wisely focuses the story away from locusts and on an island, a family, and, of course, dinos. This plot device should work, yet it all falls flat with a MacGuffin chase that doesnāt matter, too many water scenes, and some āveloci-cringeā worthy dialogue (even worse than the dino puns Iāve used in this review).
Final Thought: If you are looking for loud, popcorn fun at the movies, see F1 or HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON. Neither of those will leave your brain or wallet dino-sore post viewing.
