JULIA S2E1-3 🙂

JULIA opened its second season with three episodes in Paris. There was magnificent, enticing food and beautiful scenery. But I was antsy for JULIA to return to the States to cook on her television show.

The writers were intent on catching viewers up on every character. Kudos to an all-star cast that includes Bebe Neuwirth, Judith Light, Brittany Bradford, Isabella Rossellini, and Rachel Bloom. Outstanding. Fear of getting too close, overworked editors, being “kept,” cooking competitions, and realizing things never stay the same forever were some of the themes highlighted. I do so enjoy the lilting voice of Julia’s (Sarah Lancashire) voice whenever she is preparing or eating. The chemistry between her husband, Paul (David Hyde Pierce) is off the charts. Looks are deceiving because theirs is a match made in heaven. It’s fun to watch and dream about, especially while staring at beautiful paintings.

I am hopeful that JULIA will get back on track. America is where “The French Chef” belongs.

It is available to stream on MAX.
