JERRY AND MARGE GO LARGE is inspired by true events. It is a sweet tale about an unassuming couple from a small town in Michigan. Jerry (Bryan Cranston) discovered a loophole in the lottery system, and the rest is history.Â
This film reminded me of the old tortoise and the rabbit story. âSlow and steady wins the race.â And they did. Never count out âolderâ people. They have all the time they need. Jerry and his wife, Marge (Annette Bening), finally realized  âlife isnât over at retirement.â Their connection on screen made this movie work. They were entirely believable. They were cute together and fun to watch. The ensemble kept me smiling all the time. I even wanted to move to their town. It just clicked.Â
JERRY AND MARGE GO LARGE was not a deep, heavy film. Instead, it showcased caring, honest people who helped each other and changed lives for the better. It reinforced how âgood luck can happen the same as bad.â It gave me hope and begged the question, why didnât I think of doing that? Kudos to the writers who kept it simple.Â
Obviously, I enjoyed JERRY AND MARGE GO LARGE. And I promise that you wonât believe their final numbers.
It is available to stream on PARAMOUNT.Â
