Good news! GOOD OMENS returned for a one-episode season three to tie up every loose end left hanging in their Armageddon universe. It was fun, humorous, and well-executed. This series brings up the heavy topics about the existence of God, angels, Demons, and the Devil. It is all created from the amazing imaginations of Neil Gaiman and the prolific Sir Terry Pratchett. This dynamic duo says it all. Be prepared for every conceivable universal truth to be explored and blown away.
GOOD OMENS 3’s strength also lies in the incredible acting talents of David Tennant as the Demon Crowley and Michael Sheen as the Angel Aziraphale. The two of them play and react off each other with sheer perfection. Their facial expressions, inflections, tone, pitch, pauses, and physicality are simply divine. Their scenes together push this larger-than-life story forward at a phenomenal rate. They are surrounded by dozens of others, including Jon Hamm, Toby Jones, and Tanya Moodie. The payoff of THE FINALE is wonderful. “If only…” is what I said when the credits rolled at the end.
GOOD OMENS 3 is a very “talky” show. It demands that viewers listen and remember everything humanity got right and, oh, did wrong. It is original and fresh, and it forces audiences to think and keep up. I am so glad the powers that be provided this beautiful “period,” gifting everyone with a cool conclusion.
GOOD OMENS 3 is streaming on Prime Video.
