GEN V is a fresh, edgy, humorous, and bloody-as-hell spin-off from the original series THE BOYS. It is set at the Godolkin college campus, where hormones are running amuck.
“Supes” are the norm. It is creative and clever, showing off all the different combinations of powers. The problem is a lack of control among the student body. But don’t worry; this makes for crazy moments throughout the first three episodes. And audiences are discovering “the woods” are not a place to visit.
There is so much competition among the “top ten” and anyone else trying to be noticed. These teens are highly sex-charged and focused on using drugs as a relief measure. Several “Alice in Wonderland” scenes were hilarious. These breathers are necessary to get away from all the exploding blood. An “illusion of truth” rules this school, and there can be electrifying consequences. “Jumanji” might not be enough.
GEN V is totally entertaining. Audiences will not know where they are being led. If I were you, I would cover my ears just in case.
It is available to stream on Prime Video.
