FROM S3E1 SHATTER 🤩

The surprising MGM+ hit, FROM, returns with a premiere that doesn’t “Shatter” expectations but lives up to the lore and adds a few more twists. It doesn’t hurt that Jack “LOST” Bender, who directed the best LOST and FROM episodes, is in the director’s chair tonight.

FROM is a slow-burn TV. It took thirty-five minutes for “monster(s)” to appear, along with a bit of BLAIR WITCH PROJECT-like set-up that doesn’t have a payoff. However, this week’s climax again proves why I keep returning to FROM. It ended on a helluva cliffhanger with some of the best VFX yet.

This week’s final moments is easily a 🤩, while the rest of the episode falls into the 😊 category. Since that ending was so hauntingly “executed,” I will bump my rating to a “must-see.”
