FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH is the most straightforward globe-trotting action-adventure of the year. Audiences will know what they are getting into just from the ridiculous trailer. And if your idea of a good time is a throwback of NATIONAL TREASURE mixed with INDIANA JONES, you will surely enjoy this better than it should be popcorn-film.
What makes FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH work are the lead actors and the assured direction of Guy Ritchie. John Krasinski uses his likable charm, Natalie Portman acts like she’s Jane from the MCU, Domhnall Gleeson is servicable, and Arian Moayed continues to charm like he did in SUCCESSION.
