EXPATS is a showcase for three women. The story allows the brilliant acting skills of Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue, and Ji-young Yoo. Their lives are flashed across our screens, and they share their pain and sorrows while living in Hong Kong.
The plot lines are entwined through one horrible incident that can never be forgotten or healed. It is a constant state of tension, frustration, and sorrow. There is no way a mere “Rock” can bring relief or peace. “A pause” is not the answer either. Being rich doesn’t offer any superpowers to make the pain dissipate. This episode made it all very clear.
EXPATS, I fear is not a positive advertisement for living in a foreign country. The show is raw, authentic, and brutally honest.
It is streaming on Prime Video.
