Oh, man. They did it. On a show that carelessly walks the line between comedy and horror, and in a season that has hyped up its camp factor to the max, we just had to be reminded just how evil Chucky really is…and boy, is he evil.
This episode is certainly a turning-point for the season. The stakes are all laid out clearly now, and as we have our new heroes reuniting with our legacy characters, it’s evident an epic battle is on the way in the season’s final two episodes.
Season 2 of CHUCKY has done an amazing job of tying every possible loose end of the entire franchise together, but I’m beginning to wonder if it might be too much of an undertaking? With only two episodes remaining in the season, we’ve only just gotten a taste of where it might be going. Based on the twists (and Nam flashbacks) we saw this week, there doesn’t seem to be much time left to pull it all together. Then again, if anyone can do it, Don Mancini can.
