CALL ME KAT was a mash-up of four plot lines in one episode. It was a little off-kilter for me, since a lot was going on.
I enjoy the honest roadmap Kat (Mayim Bialik) is finagling her way through with boyfriend, Oscar (Christopher Rivas). The two of them make a great couple even when one has “rose-colored glasses” while wearing ill-fitted and horribly patterned blouses. We get it. Kat has no taste in clothes. However, Sheila (Swoosie Kurtz) and Phil (Leslie Jordan) still win the prize for most realistic advice and best dressed.
CALL ME KAT made me dream about sugar and cupcakes. So excuse me while I bake a dozen or two.
