âDearest readerâŚâ BRIDGERTON is back with four exciting episodes in its third season. It was fun and entertaining seeing the ensemble gather again as another debutante time of year begins anew. This marks the debut of Francesca along with Eloise, Penelope, and Colin returning for more of the eliteâs gossip and social gracesâ punishments.Â
My favorite installment was the fourth one. There were so many highs and emotional waves of lust and love. It was one of the best roller coaster rides. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment, especially during the ball, the chase, and that very hot carriage ride. Oh my. I was glad I always secretly carry a feather fan in my pocket when I watch BRIDGERTON. Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) were spot-on and hands-on. Kiddos to Francesca (Hannah Dodd) who could melt an entire regiment with her stunning, sexy, innocent stare. You go, girl. Â
BRIDGERTON still shines brilliantly with their costuming, lavish, romantic sets, stellar dance routines, and outrageous period wig styles. The queenâs hair was spectacular to behold. Bravo to  Golda Rosheuvel for being able to hold and keep her head up straight. It was a delightful surprise each time she, as the Queen,  made an appearance.Â
The first two episodes of BRIDGERTON were talky and pretty tame compared to previous years. I am used to a more salacious and juicier rom-com journey. I have read all eight BRIDGERTON novels, so I know what I am talking about. The writers include a vast number of people from the Ton entwining tidbits from three or possibly four of the book series into this plot line. It is a bunch to keep straight even with the enigmatic Lady Whistledownâs (Julie Andrews) searing insights.Â
BRIDGERTON will not be returning until June 13th. I am a fan even with a less alluring opening. I will remain hopeful, continue working with the âmarriage whispererâ and keep my feathers handy just in case. It is streaming on Netflix.
