ANDOR season two is back with three new episodes! This is exhilarating news since ANDOR isnāt just the best STAR WARS series ever created; it was also one of the best shows of 2022. The story picks up one year after the events of season one, and for once, thereās zero recap to catch audiences up ā we just dive right into Cassianās adventures
My take on each episode:
E1: ONE YEAR LATER
E1 has an explosive start and end, but gets bogged down with the āfoundationā setup. I would usually be concerned if a series started this slowly, but knowing how creator Tony Gilroyās storylines work in three-episode arcs, Iām fine with it.
E2: SAGRONA TEEMA
SAGRONA TEEMA is more of the same, as the political motivations at the wedding pop up, but with one helluva STAR WARS version of āRock, Paper, Scissors.ā
E3: HARVEST
Well, this wasnāt the E3 I was looking for. Despite being wacky, funny, and extremely intense, HARVEST doesnāt quite have the emotional heft needed for the first mini-conclusion in the series. However, I have to hand it to the creators for two scenes that are unlike anything Iāve seen in the STAR WARS universe:
- The mom dining scene felt like it was out of a romantic comedy.
- EDM ā Did audiences just get an extended electronic dance sequence? Yep. And it strangely worked.
More importantly, HARVEST deals with a topic never portrayed in STAR WARS. I wouldnāt dare spoil it, but letās say it made up for spending too much time at the overlong wedding and Yavin 4.

ANDOR continues to be the most interesting STAR WARS content ever created. Iām excited to see what comes next and hopeful that after three episodes of setup, the show turns a corner into more action, suspense, and a hint of comedy.
Itās available on Disney+.
