ALICE AND STEVE S1 REVIEW 🤩

I am so sad the six episode crazy series, ALICE AND STEVE is over. This show pushed me to the edge while shouting one expletive after another. (WTF) It was funny, dramatic, messy, and terribly mean, mixed with a smidge of joyful, fleeting moments. I was mesmerized by the incredibly insane antics of two lifelong friends, Alice (Nicola Walker) and Steve (Jermaine Clement). Their bond was ripped apart and then all hell broke loose. My lips are sealed, but suffice it to say, I loved their over-the-top,  reckless behavior.

ALICE AND STEVE featured two of my favorite actors. Walker is a beloved actress from the UK who starred in MI-5 and UNFORGOTTEN. I am a loyal fan of her amazing abilities to totally dive into any role she commits to creating on screen. Clement is forever fondly remembered for his zany character in FLIGHT OF THE CONCORD. His deadpan humor continually cracks me up. He is so adept at creating those sad-sack seconds that make audiences giggle and sigh simultaneously. This was awesome casting to put these two brilliant artist together surrounded by a strong, supporting ensemble. Kudos.

I can’t go into any further details about ALICE AND STEVE. I found it quite by accident while simply scrolling titles of new series. I don’t think it was meant for a second season. I hope I am wrong. The story content created the perfect storm. Don’t miss it. It is streaming on Hulu.
