ALASKA DAILY S1E1 PILOT 😊

ALASKA DAILY has the potential to be a great dramatic show. The storyline is intriguing, the landscape is stunning, since it is Alaska, and they have Hillary Swank as their main character. Who could ask for more?

Hilary portrays Eileen, an infamous newspaper reporter who finds herself back in Anchorage, Alaska, through several circumstances. This is where she began her career 17 years ago. She is the type of investigator you want on your side. She is tenacious, persistent, and doesn’t know the meaning of the word “no.” Hilary’s acting skills are like being a part of an advanced, professional class. She says just as much when she doesn’t utter a word as she does with the writer’s script. And when she goes into “panic attack” mode, I am ready to call 911 for her. 

The plot of ALASKA DAILY is expansive, with a strong ensemble that includes Jeff Perry and Grace Dove. I want to know the answers and solve this “murder” investigation. Hilary is “born to be a reporter” who loves to “ruffle feathers” and find out what has been happening to the “indigenous women.”

I will continue to give ALASKA DAILY the opportunity to prove itself. I am gathering clues and thinking about “frostbite and crutches.”
