ACAPULCO season two’s final episodes were sheer perfection.

E9, THE POWER OF LOVE, felt like it would be a story about young love finding its way, but it becomes much more profound. It explores the “power of love” between mothers, daughters, families, best friends, and second chances.

Whereas E10 goes AGAINST ALL ODDS to give audiences an unexpected wedding scene that proves each character in the show is, deep down, kind (even if it’s only for “twenty seconds”). This kindness is why the show often gets compared to TED LASSO.

All the characters are lovable, likable, and, most importantly, flawed. That flawed sense in the characters, mixed with each wanting to do good, keeps me coming back weekly to see where it will go. And now that the season ended on another cliffhanger, I can’t wait to see what happens in S3!

The entire second season is available on Apple TV+.
