ABBOTT ELEMENTARY is dealing with the gentrification of the surrounding community. It was a flip-flop action scene as the Abbott staff fluttered through varying strong opinions. The writing gave way to fun, light-hearted truths regarding change. As usual, the ensemble bulldozed their way across the spectrum of quips and wisecracking dialogues.
THE DELI also made room for a quiet, introspective moment with the talented Ava (Janelle James). Audiences are getting birds-eye views of the different sides of an established character. It was a backstory within a backstory, yet Ava still maintained her snarky self.
ABBOTT ELEMENTARY is continually focusing on the “why and not the how.” This still works for these zany teachers. It is streaming on Hulu.
