A MAN ON THE INSIDE S1 REVIEW 🤩

A MAN ON THE INSIDE has made my list for one of my favorite TV shows of 2024. It is a hilarious look at what it feels like to get older. It expresses the loneliness of losing friends and family members who die or move on. It presents all these sacred, difficult moments with authenticity, grace, class, and Ted Danson. He is the glue that holds this series together through every outrageous schtick and somber situation. It will make people of all ages feel seen and present.

Ted Danson (CHEERS and A GOOD PLACE) as Charles is finding his way and getting a new lease on life. He possesses that innate, instinctive sense of timing that pushes this show to greatness. When he is having a blast, we are all right there with him laughing even when slices of pizza cling to the back of his shirt. If he is expressing his loss or the love he feels for his wife with gentle tears, we are right there grabbing our Kleenex boxes. His talent as an actor knows no boundaries and has exploded to a higher level. Thank goodness he still wants to make television magic for all of us.

The entire ensemble for A MAN ON THE JNSIDE was perfect casting. Every character was not overstated and could stand alone in any episode. One of my favorites was seeing Sally Struthers (ALL IN THE FAMILY) strut her impressive, comedic skills once again after so many years. She was a hoot. Age has only made her finer.  Also included in the cast are Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Lilah Ritchcreek Estrada, Susan Ruttan, Veronica Cartwright, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and Stephanie Beatriz. The episodes featuring Lilah, Stephen, and Mary broke my heart and made me smile through my tears. The series possesses that kind of power.

A MAN ON THE JNSIDE is must-see TV. Rotten Tomatoes heartily agrees with a 97% rating. The concept will tickle your funny bone while bringing an older generation back into the light. It ended with a whole new plot for season two. I can’t wait for people my age to be inspired once again while getting up off that couch and live until they can’t. It is streaming on Netflix. Watch it with people you love.
