Morgan Freeman can raise any film onto a higher plane. He does this again portraying Daniel. The story is shared through his eyes and illustrious, rich voice. It gives this film credence and allows painful moments to heal. Terrible things can happen in a blink of an eye. It is for those who must carry on to determine true intentions. The writer took the viewers on a path filled with self-loathing and shame. It was a heart-wrenching tale. Kudos to their creative and not โperfectโ ending. It felt right.ย
Interestingly enough, Rotten Tomatoes did not like A GOOD PERSON, but the fans did. The different percentages proved this point. I stand with the audiences who seemed to get much more than the critics. All of us have made bad choices and mistakes. How we move forward is the key to redemption, forgiveness, and love.
