65 is exactly what you think it is; a mediocre prehistoric thriller starring Adam Driver. Most of the positives of the movie come from its brisk 93-minute runtime. It runs fast enough with its goofy premise, preventing viewers from over-indexing on any apparent plot holes.
Like 65, I’ll keep this review short, simple, and to the point – it falls into a category of action-packed, overproduced, A-list-starring films, such as Nicholas Cage’s KNOWING, Jake Gyllenhaal’s LIFE, Will Smith’s GEMINI MAN, or John Cusack’s 2012. If you have never seen a movie before (or, for some reason, like me, are a huge fan of the 2011 show TERRA NOVA), I will guarantee you’d like 65.
65 is now playing in theaters. 🦖
